Lachish Pre-Military Academy (Mechina) is a midrasha for social mission, which instills and renews within its participants a value-based language characterized by intellectual depth and human sensitivity. We believe that the key to repairing Israeli society lies in a learning and active community that commits itself to an ongoing dialogue between diverse worldviews and views unity and partnership as leading values. This is coupled with the practical realization of the Zionist mission and communal settlement within the country's borders, with a special emphasis on settlement and action in the Western Negev.
The academy and its alumni are committed to acting with responsibility and humility to strengthen mutual guarantee and promote a corrected and worthy Israeli society, out of a sense of mission, love, and responsibility.

Located in Kibbutzim: Beit Guvrin, Dorot, Nahal Oz, and Gevim. Lachish participants experience a year of pre-military academy life in the heart of Zionist settlement communities within the Lachish region and the Gaza Envelope.
From all across Israel and the world. From cities, villages, kibbutzim, and moshavim. From north and south, east and west—religious, traditional, and secular. Together, we build a rooted identity: Zionist, Jewish, and Israeli.
